Two Tiny Puppies Rescued From A Duct-Taped Crate Now Live Their Best Life In Their Home Sweet Home

This past October, on a sunny day in New South Wales, Australia, a Good Samaritan was strolling down the street when something unusual caught their eye.

A white crate sat abandoned by the side of the road, seemingly left behind. It looked like discarded trash — abandoned and duct-taped shut. But the crate was moving.

Discovery of Monty and Mindy

Curious and concerned, the passerby approached the crate and carefully peeked inside. There, huddled together in the small space, were two tiny black and brown puppies.

The Good Samaritan acted quickly, bringing the puppies home for the night. The next morning, experts from RSPCA New South Wales arrived and transported the pups to Sydney Veterinary Hospital for much-needed care.

A New Beginning

It’s hard to imagine how things might have turned out had the puppies not been noticed. Animals in distress should never be left behind to fend for themselves, and always deserve a safe haven at a local shelter. Thankfully, in this case, the pups were exactly where they needed to be.

With each passing day, the puppies grew stronger. They were vaccinated and enjoyed delicious meals. At RSPCA New South Wales, they finally felt safe enough to relax and let their guard down.

The rescuers decided to name the puppies Monty and Mindy. Once they were healthy and ready, the search for their forever homes began. It didn’t take long for both pups to find their new families.

Today, Monty and Mindy are living the life they deserve. Staff members at RSPCA New South Wales are overjoyed to see their story end on such a happy note.

“We are so pleased that there was a happy ending for these two beautiful pups,” a representative from RSPCA New South Wales told The Dodo. “They have found their forever homes, where they can live the life they deserve.”
