Dog Holds “Paw Patrol” Balloon and Sign to Welcome Long-Lost Brother at the Airport
Meet Frederico Alfredo — a loving dog who proudly serves as a volunteer therapy animal at hospitals near his home in Brazil. Together with his mom, Jamili Saade, Frederico spreads joy by visiting patients who could use a dose of happiness and comfort.
But recently, it was Frederico’s turn to receive a special visit.
A Connection Rekindled
Not long after Saade adopted Frederico from another state, a family reached out to her, saying they had adopted one of his littermates — Frederico’s brother, Tunico Bastos.
Although they lived in different cities, the families stayed in touch, and in 2023, Saade, her husband, and Frederico flew out to visit them.

“We became good friends,” Saade shared with The Dodo. “This year, we invited them to visit us in our city.”
The Airport Reunion
Frederico hadn’t seen his brother in quite some time, so when the day finally arrived, he was ready.
He led the airport greeting party, holding a “PAW Patrol” balloon and a sign with Tunico’s name, drawing plenty of attention as he waited eagerly.
The moment Tunico and his family arrived, it was the beginning of a beautiful brotherly reunion:
“They stayed with us for a week. We visited many sites throughout the city,” Saade recalled.
During their time together, Frederico and Tunico proved that they were indeed brothers, with all the playful dynamics that come with it.
“They got on each other’s nerves,” Saade laughed. “But it was funny.”
