Though initially unsure and possibly in disbelief, the pup was soon overwhelmed with joy when she confirmed with a sniff that her dad was truly home.

According to TikTok user McMoliday, who shared the heartwarming video, it was just as joyful for Valentina’s dad.

“He had to work overseas for 6 months and just came home,” McMoliday shared. “She’s 13-and-a-half years old, and we are loving the time we have left with her.”
